Who We Are

Robert Snizek
Founder & CEO
Robert is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) with a master’s in rehabilitation counseling from MSU-Billings. He has spent over 20 years helping individuals with disabilities find meaningful employment, including supporting clients in becoming self-employed. Robert is passionate about job creation, job retention, and empowering clients to succeed in their careers. Robert graduated from MSU-Billings in 2000 and began his career in rehabilitation counseling. Prior to founding Montana Employment Consultants in 2017, he spent 13 years as the medical care manager for the Headway Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program at St. Vincent Healthcare, and previously founded MontanaWorks, a job placement agency for people with disabilities. Robert has served on the boards of the Montana Brain Injury Alliance and the Montana Association of Rehabilitation (MAR) and has presented at national and regional conferences on brain injury and employment facilitation, including APSE and the Brain Injury Association of Utah.
Marika Kuhn
Employment Specialist
Marika joined the Billings MEC team in May 2025. With over 15 years of experience in human services, health care, and education, she is passionate about helping individuals succeed and thrive. A lifelong resident of Billings, Marika brings compassion, administrative expertise, and creativity to every role. She has served as a psychiatric technician, administrator of senior living facilities, mental health assistant, and community liaison supporting youth in crisis. Marika holds a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western Governors University and is nationally certified as a psychiatric technician, reflecting her commitment to lifelong learning and meaningful service. Outside of work, she is a talented performer and culinary enthusiast who enjoys exploring global cuisines and musical styles. She lives by the motto, "Happiness is not a destination; you can find it in every day," and strives to bring that spirit into everything she does.


Melissa Hoffman
Employment Specialist
Melissa joined the Billings MEC team in September 2025. She has extensive experience supporting individuals with disabilities and is passionate about helping clients achieve their employment goals. Melissa holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Montana State University–Billings. She has over ten years of experience working with people with disabilities, including youth and adults with developmental disabilities. In 2018, she became an Employment Specialist with Job Connection, where she supported clients in finding meaningful employment for several years. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys exploring the outdoors with her child, including searching for agates along the Yellowstone River—she has a large collection of rocks they’ve discovered together. She also enjoys pour painting, appreciating how each creation is unique, just like every person she works with.
Kari Whitney
Employment Specialist
Kari joined the Billings MEC team in June 2023. With 25 years of experience, she has successfully managed and grown large non-profit programs, facilitated systems change, and provided strong administration. Kari spent much of her career in Eugene, Oregon, helping teens exit gangs, and has supported vulnerable populations including youth and families, individuals struggling with addiction, crisis and mental health services, and domestic violence survivors. She holds a BSW from the University of Montana and is a Certified Mediator. Outside of work, Kari enjoys cooking, gardening, and coaching. She and her husband have two daughters in college and two dogs, and she brings her passion for service and leadership to every client she supports.


Megan White
Employment Specialist
Megan joined the Billings MEC team in October 2023 and is a Certified Employment Support Professional through APSE. She has nearly 10 years of experience working with people with disabilities at STEP Inc in Billings, MT, in several direct service and management roles. Megan is trained and certified in Crucial Conversations and Person-Centered coaching. She is passionate about helping clients reach their life goals while building personal connections and advocating for inclusion. As a first-time mom, Megan values family time and enjoys creativity through art. She hopes to one day own a business focused on suicide prevention and awareness.
Lexi Watson
Job Specialist
Lexie joined the Billings MEC team in March 2024 to help build our program in Billings, Hardin, and the Crow Agency. Originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado, Lexie has a strong heart for helping others and believes everyone should be treated with empathy, respect, and warmth. She is currently continuing her college education in child psychology and deviant behavior, with plans to help children struggling with mental disorders. Lexie enjoys spending time with family and friends, going on hikes and outdoor adventures, baking, learning piano, and playing video games.


Drew Bruhnke
Job Specialist
Drew returned to the Billings MEC team in November 2025. A Montana native, he has worked with people with disabilities through Missoula Developmental Services Corporation and volunteered with the Special Olympics. Drew also brings years of experience in various construction industries, including his family’s masonry business. Outside of work, Drew enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, hiking, and staying active at the gym.
Kimberly Belcourt
Job Specialist
Kimberly rejoined the Billings MEC team in November 2025, after previously working with MEC for a year. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and has extensive experience connecting with potential employers and empowering clients. As a trauma specialist, victims’ advocate, teacher’s aide, and equine and canine therapy facilitator, Kimberly has dedicated her career to teaching and supporting others. Her experience includes providing services to people with disabilities through STEP and working internationally as an instructor, trainer, and camp director at Equestrian Dream in Egypt, where she was recruited as an Eagala-certified equine specialist. More recently, she has served as a hospitality specialist at Tippet Rise Art Center. In her free time, Kimberly enjoys spending time outdoors, engaging in equine therapy, and being with her family.
