Who We Are
Travis Jackson
Manager/ Employment Specialist
Travis joined the Butte MEC team in October 2023 and is a Certified Employment Support Professional through APSE. A lifelong Butte resident, he brings over 16 years of experience in management, advocacy, and customer service. Travis is also a self-employed baker known locally for his incredible cookie creations. He is deeply passionate about disability advocacy, serving as an organizer of the Butte Circle of Parents and running a support group dedicated to children with mental health needs. Having raised a child with a significant disability, Travis brings a valuable personal perspective to his work at MEC. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, working on building projects, watching football, and spending time with his family.
Jolee Thompson
Employment Specialist
Jolee joined the Butte MEC team in October 2024. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Montana Western with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences and Modern History. Her favorite subject is Montana history—especially the Anaconda Company in Butte and Anaconda—and she has extensive local knowledge from growing up in the area. Jolee’s education strengthened her passion for research, and she approaches every person and situation with dedication, curiosity, and an open mind. She also brings six years of customer service experience in Butte. Jolee enjoys reading, writing, and all things history, and she takes great pride in her work supporting others.
Tyler Fletcher
Employment Specialist
Tyler joined the Butte MEC team in March 2025, bringing ten years of experience in the human services field. He has worked at the Montana Developmental Center, Youth Dynamics, and the Montana Chemical Dependency Center, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, those overcoming chemical dependency, and at-risk youth. Tyler is passionate about building independence and empowerment through employment. He is currently furthering his education in psychology at the University of Montana. Outside of work, he enjoys riding dirt bikes, flying RC planes, snowboarding, and snowmobiling during the winter months.
Craig Sweet
Employment Specialist
Craig joined the Butte MEC team in October 2025 and has called Montana home for more than half his life, including Anaconda, where he has lived since 2018. He brings over 40 years of community service and entrepreneurial experience, including serving as the Executive Director of the Anaconda Community Resource Center and as a member of the Missoula City Council. Craig is passionate about job coaching and helping individuals reach their full potential. He holds certifications in Nurturing Parenting, Stress and Anger Management, Visit Coaching, and Life Skills Training, allowing him to create personalized, supportive plans that encourage client growth and independence. In his free time, Craig enjoys being outdoors—especially fishing, hiking, and exploring Montana’s landscapes.
Shelby Fink
Employment Specialist
Shelby joined the Butte MEC team in November 2025. She brings more than a decade of hands-on caregiving experience, including six years supporting older adults—many with Alzheimer’s and dementia—and six years assisting individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. Through this work, she has developed deep patience, strong advocacy skills, and a genuine commitment to helping others thrive. Outside of work, Shelby enjoys spending time in the mountains with her blended family, baking new bread recipes, exploring new hobbies, and embracing the slower pace of life in the Ruby Valley. She is a devoted mom to two young daughters and values meaningful connections, time outdoors, and creating lasting memories with her friends, children, and two dogs.
